Visit our vendor that supplies us with our yummy grass fed beef at Marin Sun Farms out in beautiful Pt. Reyes. Their farming practices are sustainable and the meat that comes out of that place is amazing! They have a cute little butcher shop where you can buy other local vendors specialty products too. Support our local farmers and be well!

I wanted to share this website with people that are interested in living as sustainably as possible! www.SustainableTable.org is a great resource for learning where to find sustianable products in your area, how to get involved in your community, great recipes, and other helpful information such as helping learn all the terminolgy that can be quite confusing.
Visit this site and please share any feedback or suggestions you have in helping to live a more sustainable life. I just started composting our food waste and it feels so much better than throwing it in the garbage. I love that my daughter is being exposed to it at such young age too. Hopefully it will be a part of her everyday life forever, just as recycling is for my generation.
My best to you, your family and friends!

Plastic…what would we do without it? The ways in which we benefit from this invention, endless; the ways in which it may affect our health, not so beneficial all the time.
What can we do about it? Educate ourselves by learning what plastics can harm us and how best to reuse and recycle what we do use.
There are certain plastics that leach harmful chemicals into our bodies and there are ones that do not. You can find out what type of plastic a container is made of by looking at the stamp on the bottom.
We want to avoid numbers 3, 6 and 7. From the research that I have done, the most harmful attribute of these plastics is that they can leach hormone-disrupting phthalates. It seemt that reusing or prolonged exposure to heat can exacerbate this process too.
We want to look for numbers 1, 2, 4 and 5. These types of plastics are the safer choice.
I am proud to say that Natasha’s Food for Paws’ packaging is number 2 and is both reusable and recyclable.
Please feel safe in reusing our containers for storage of household items, nic nacs, food or whatever else your creative mind conjurs up!!
To a healthy and happy planet!!!

I’d like to speak to what Kami mentioned in his post when he spoke about our environment being an invaluable resource. Our environment is something that I have always valued, since my daughter Dakota was born, my passion has grown even more. I am currently reading “The Omnivore’s Dilemma” by Michael Pollan and it is an eye opener. I have learned so much about the pet food industry, I have been so engrossed in it; I never gave much thought to how our human food industry operates. Reading this book as fueled my desire to make a difference, I highly recommend it.
My respect for this planet we inhabit is great and now more than ever I do my best to incorporate green living into our everyday life. Not only in my personal life, in business too.
Natasha’s Food for Paws is a company that contributes to the environment. We make sure that our company leaves a light footprint on the environment through recycling and sourcing our ingredients from sustainable and organic producers. As we continue to grow, so will the amount that we can contribute to our local community and our global environment.
Many wishes of health and happiness!!!
